ScoreBadger is a free football score prediction game operated from the United Kingdom. When this policy says "we", "us" or "our", it refers to the operator of scorebadger.com.

When you create an account, we collect:

Email address (used to sign in and send account notifications)
Display name and username (shown publicly on leaderboards)
Profile picture (optional, uploaded by you)

When you use the app, we automatically collect:

Prediction data (your score predictions and points earned)
Basic usage analytics (pages visited, feature usage)
Device type and browser information (for troubleshooting)

3. How we use your data

To operate the prediction game and calculate your scores
To display leaderboards and league standings
To send you important account notifications (password resets, security alerts)
To improve the app based on aggregate usage patterns

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-party services

We use the following services to operate ScoreBadger:

Supabase - authentication and database hosting (EU region)
Vercel - website hosting and delivery
Stripe - payment processing for optional premium subscriptions

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies only - these keep you signed in and remember your session. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

6. Data retention

Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account (available in Settings), we remove your personal data within 30 days. Anonymised prediction statistics may be retained for historical leaderboard integrity.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can update your profile information in Settings at any time. To request a full data export or account deletion, use the options in your Settings page or contact us at the address below.
